Brass Compression Fittings

Compression fittings join copper, brass, or plastic tube without soldering, welding, or flaring: tightening the nut squeezes a ferrule (olive) onto the tube wall to create a leak-tight mechanical seal. Definite Metal manufactures brass compression fittings in Jamnagar, India, covering tube sizes from 4 mm to 25 mm (1/8″ to 1″ OD) with BSP or NPT threads. The range includes male and female connectors, round-body variants, bulkhead connectors, and bulkhead unions, machined from CW614N and forged from CW617N for OEM and bulk export buyers.

How Compression Sealing Works

Each fitting has three parts: a body, a nut, and a ferrule. The tube slides through the nut and ferrule into the body; as the nut is tightened, the ferrule is compressed between the nut and the tapered seat of the body and bites evenly into the tube surface. No heat, flux, or thread sealant is needed on the tube side, the joint can be dismantled for maintenance, and soft or thin-walled tube can be supported with an internal insert. This makes the compression principle a standard choice for water, gas, pneumatic, and instrumentation lines.

Types of Brass Compression Fittings We Manufacture

We also produce related lines: brass pipe fittings (threaded elbows, tees, nipples) and flare fitting parts for high-pressure and refrigeration work.

OEMs building boilers, gas appliances, medical gas equipment, and agricultural spraying machinery buy them in bulk as assembly components.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard production covers 4 mm to 25 mm metric tube ODs and 1/8″ to 1″ inch tube ODs, with BSP or NPT threads from 1/8″ to 1″. Non-standard sizes are quoted against a drawing or sample.

Tightening the nut compresses a brass ferrule between the nut and the fitting body so it grips and seals against the tube wall. The joint needs no heat or adhesive and can be opened and remade during servicing.

We are a bulk and OEM manufacturer, not a retail seller, so MOQ depends on the item and size — share your requirement for confirmation. Production is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and material test reports plus RoHS declarations are available on request.
